2 Months Old Today!

Wow...2 months old already! I really can't believe how time flies- and I know I keep saying that! We took Daniel's monthly picture with Mickey today. We tried to have him sit in Mickey's lap like last month...he was clearly uncomfortable (see top picture)...but it was sure funny to try- he and Mickey both kept falling over! So, we finally sat him up next to his pal Mickey and he actually sat there pretty well on his own. Daniel is so alert these days. He's awake 2 or 3 times a day for a few hours (2-4 hours) at a time- it's so cute to see him so awake. And just this past week- he's smiling so much more...even in response to people talking to him. Daniel sleeps well at night in his bassinet- still getting up every 2 hours or so for feedings, but once in a while we get three or even five hours of sleep! He does really well with tub baths now, too- not a single cry the other night when we bathed him- he was sooo good; it was so cute how alert and how good he was while we washed him up. Daniel's eyes follow me around the room when he's in his bouncer- that's cute to watch. And he's doing well with holding his head up and moving it from side to side when we're holding him- he's getting so strong. I'm anxious to go to the doctor next week and see how big he is now! Not so anxious for those shots however...

A Busy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a busy day for Daniel! He met so many family members- his Great Grandparents, Great Aunts and Great Uncles, a cousin, and his Uncle Brad on Ben's side and then we stopped by my family and saw his Grandparents and his Aunt and Uncle there, too. He was so good the whole day- and he got passed around a LOT! I'm so proud of him! Click Daniel's feet above to see pictures from our Thanksgiving Day. Who Does Daniel Look Like?

Before Daniel was even born, Ben had this really cute idea of getting a three-picture frame and putting all three of our baby pictures in it. It's hanging in our hall now...and looks so cute. Here's a peak at the baby pictures in our frame. So, who does Daniel look like?? 'Course Daniel is very young in his picture and obviously Ben and I are a little older in ours, but it's still fun to look and compare! Enjoy!

This time I took a series of "continuous pictures" such that it looks like a flip book of Daniel's movements. I like these pictures because Daniel is so cute when he moves his arms and legs so animatedly- we say he's "talking" to us!

Baby Noises

Again, playing with our camera...Daniel's getting ready to wake up and if you listen closely, you can hear those cute little baby noises! I couldn't resist posting this. I think the video feature will be lots of fun someday when he's actually doing something besides sleeping. :)

Fun With Our New Camera

Here are some fun pictures we took with our new camera. We got some cute faces from Daniel. And I think the picture that's black and white with green highlights is a fun one- what a great expression on Daniel's face! Oh and the scrunched up face- he's about to sneeze- too funny!

Cuddly Baby

Could Daniel look any cuddlier? I love how he's grabbing Ben's shirt- it's so sweet. He's been doing this "grabbing" more lately- I love how that makes me feel so needed, so loved, and so close to him.

Sweet Pictures

Just some really sweet pictures of Daniel I wanted to share! He likes his swing pretty well and stays in it for a little while- often falling asleep. The top picture is of my dad holding Daniel- and I am absolutely touched by how sweet he looks in my dad's hands. The picture takes my breath away.

Getting Bigger!

So I'm looking at Daniel in his car seat as we get ready to go to Grandma's on Sunday and I'm thinking to myself how big he's getting. I thought this was a fun comparison...in the first picture Daniel's just 5 days old and sleeping away and in the second picture he's 7 weeks old and wide awake! He looks like such a boy now.

Daniel can lift his head up pretty well now and even turns his head. He really watches things all around him and he can follow things with his eyes somewhat, too. He's eating and sleeping well and is awake for a few hours at a time a few times a day most days- though he still has his sleepy days, too. Daniel's "smiles" are often now both sides of the mouth- before it was mostly just one-sided smiles. We're getting glimpses of what his real smiles might look like- so cute! It's been such fun to see him grow and I can't believe how fast time flies!

Our first trip to Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa Gary's house- Daniel was wide awake and such a GOOD boy! He met many of Grandma's friends at her "Sip N See" and they all fell in love- he was quite the flirt! Click the picture to see more of the Sip N See photos- Enjoy!
