In spite of Daniel not feeling like himself, Ben and I are thrilled to say Daniel's walking just a bit more! We have a great mental video in our heads of what we are calling Daniel's first official steps taken on Friday night. (Sorry you can't see that video!) We were so excited to both be there! Daniel pulled himself up to standing on Daddy's knee when Daddy was sitting on a footstool, and then Daniel just took off, away from us- it was SO CUTE and SO AMAZING! He took a good four steps before flopping to the floor. His arms were up and waving and his legs just went. Daniel was so proud of himself! And we couldn't stop thinking about these first steps all night- we were grinning from ear to ear! Last night he took about five or six steps toward me- just as exciting! We've been trying to get videos and pictures...but Daniel chooses when he wants to walk, and of course it's not when we have the camera ready! Here's one picture Ben took that's the best one so far- it's hard to tell that Daniel's actually walking, but you can see him standing all on his own and reaching for me. Still cute, I think. Hopefully now that's he's feeling better, he can practice walking more.
