We've entered the world of pretending- what fun it is! Say "Hello! Who's there?" to Daniel and he will "answer" the phone- well, he'll answer with whatever toy might be nearby at the moment! Only 13 months old and he's clocking the minutes on the phone already. We're loving this pretend play; it's really cute to watch Daniel pretend to be on the phone. He doesn't really "talk" so much, but he will put toys or even just his hand to his ear (so far, using his left hand most of the time of course!) and we will talk to him on our "phones" too. Sometimes we can start this game, if Daniel feels like playing it with us, or he will even initiate the game himself, too, and of course we always play along. It's interesting to note that Daniel does have a play cell phone, but he has yet to actually use that! But that's what pretending is for- you can use whatever strikes your fancy! Here are some cute pictures...Enjoy.

Grandma Mary Kay got her toy phone out- perfect timing since Daniel had already started to pretend to be on the phone. Yes, he's using his right hand here, but I think it's because he's got that cool new stick in his left hand- he did not let that go very much!

Daniel answers his "car" phone!

The hand works, too! (though it looks a bit like his ear hurts or even a glamour shot!)

Now we have a hammer phone!
What a CUTE picture, don't you think?!

These are Daniel's new jammies! Movin' up to 9 month pj's- woohoo!

It's hard to see, but Daniel's talking on a small toy car this time!
