Here are a few highlights from Thanksgiving Day! I've also linked our Picasa album below which has a few more pictures.
We had a very busy Thanksgiving Day, visiting both sets of grandparents! True to being a toddler, Daniel chose to change his schedule up a little bit that day- so by 11:30, he needed a nap when we should have been close to getting ready to go. I knew he'd do better if he had a nap, so we gave him a much needed 45 minute nap (snapped a pic before waking him up!) and off we went. He did GREAT the whole day! I was so proud of him. We visited Grandma Cheryl, Grandpa Gary, Uncle Brian, and Aunt Christina, and Jason was there, too. Daniel played with toys, walked his car, ate a great Thanksgiving lunch, and even had fun dropping things down between the railing from the loft (this is a favorite game at home, too!). Daniel was so playful and such fun!
After spending a few hours at Grandma Cheryl's house, we headed over to see Grandma Mary Kay and Grandpa Larry. Uncle Brad came into town for the holiday with his fiancee, Rose, and her mother, Pat. We were glad to finally meet Rose and Pat. It was so nice to spend some time with them. And Daniel warmed right up to them and was very playful there as well. Daniel ate a great Thanksgiving dinner, played some more, and then we headed home by 7:30, which is Daniel's bedtime and since he hadn't napped all afternoon, he was quite tired. He fell asleep as soon as we hit the road home. We decided next time we're that busy, we'll bring Daniel's pajamas so he's ready for bed as soon as we get home! The trick is to remember this...
We spent the rest of the weekend having more fun with family at our house- my family on Friday for Wii games and dinner, and Ben's family on Saturday for a nice visit to chat and show Brad and Rose our house. Daniel has been a bit under the weather the last two days (I'm just glad he made it through Thanksgiving!), and we're still figuring that out, but he was a pretty good sport for all the family visits the last two days. We've sure been busy and Daniel just keeps right on going with us- he's such a good boy and so happy to show off for family! I'm so proud of him and we are so thankful for the wonderful blessing our son is!
More news tomorrow for Daniel's 14 month update and his latest Mickey picture!!
