We started Wiggles & Giggles class again on Thursday. We had a lot of fun there. Last time we went to this class, Daniel was still crawling, but now he can walk and that was really fun to watch. There were large foam climbing shapes, cars to ride and push, small blocks, and lots of balls. Daniel really has no interest in climbing on the foam shapes (he never has before), but he sure loved the balls. He spent the majority of the time throwing and chasing the balls. He played with the small blocks for a couple minutes. Daniel also played with the play kitchen and food- he's enjoyed that before, too. But Daniel LOVED playing with the "water table" that was filled with cotton balls, fake leaves and glittery string confetti (the stuff you fill baskets with). He discovered this table toward the end and he sure had a lot of fun pulling on the confetti and shaking it out. It was cute to watch him trying to get it off of him- the static made it cling.
I have to say it was interesting to try to leave class now that Daniel is walking. This was the first time Daniel has really had a chance to roam and play freely in a large play space like this as a walker, and he would have loved to play a lot longer, I'm sure. But I was proud of him- he was really good about the whole thing- aside from a little wandering once he saw the coat, he handled leaving really well. That's my boy!
