Daniel Gets a Convertible!

A Convertible Car Seat, that is!

Another sign of toddlerhood hit our house this week...we got Daniel a bigger car seat! And it's HUGE! Up until now, he's still been able to fit into his infant car seat, which I kind of liked actually- it was easy to put him in the seat in the house & then carry him out to the car and snap it into the base there- but he's finally approaching the limits of the seat, only in height mind you. We always knew he'd reach the height limit before the weight limit- the infant seat supported up to 30 inches or 30 lbs. Well, at just a tiny bit past 29 inches, we decided it was time to bite the bullet and move on. This seat seems great- it's easy to use, it fits Daniel well even though he is so small still (that was a big concern of mine- some of these seats are even bigger if you can imagine that and it looked like Daniel would just swim in them even with belts on!), and it will really give us room to grow, too. Daniel still has to be rear-facing since he's nowhere near the weight recommendation for forward-facing. I had to wonder today, as we ran our first errands with our new seat, what Daniel was thinking. I actually think he can see out the window better now- what must he think of that?!

And check out the fingers in the mouth- they're always there these days, along with tons of drool...I'm not sure there's any drool left in the kid!
