This Post Brought to You By the Color Red

Red was the color of the week for Daniel and his new toys. Now that we're outside a lot more, Daniel has been in need of new toys for outside play. Thanks to a "borrowed" ball, a present from Grandma Cheryl, and Mommy's good shopping eye- Daniel has had a lot of fun outside this week! Next week is supposed to be even nicer!! Yahoo!

So this red ball was found in our yard one day and Daniel LOVED it. He carried it around all over the yard and even up onto the deck. I think he found ball heaven that day. And he even says ba now for ball, instead of ga. Ben finally made us toss the ball into a neighbor's yard (at night when Daniel wasn't watching of course- he would have been upset!) since it really didn't belong to us. Here's hoping nobody wants it and tosses it back in our yard! :)

Where's Daniel?! Yes, he is sitting behind the ball. You can just make out the top of his head. I thought this shot was too funny- it shows how big the ball is, or how small Daniel is.

Daniel got a cool new lawnmower from Grandma Cheryl this week, too. Okay, it's only kind of red, but Daniel was too cute playing with it to pass on posting the picture. I think it's cute how he steers with one hand. He pushed that all around the yard and onto the deck, too. He also likes when I chase him it. And he makes the funniest motor noises with his "rubber" lips.

Mommy also happened to score this little wagon at the baby store the other day. Daniel loves this toy, too- he thinks it's fun inside the house and outside. It's meant to be a wagon for toys- that's how small it is. It isn't one of those really big ones- we do want one of those too someday. BUT, Daniel is so small, he does actually fit in this wagon and he loves to ride in it, up and down the hall, back and forth, slow and fast, etc. It's actually perfect for him. And he's pretty good about holding on, too. Outside, Daniel likes to pull it around the yard, put rocks in it, turn it over and investigate the bottom, and so on. He's a boy.

I thought he looked so cute just sitting in his wagon this morning with his legs crossed- couldn't resist snapping a pic!
