Happy Mickey Day!

Another month has flown by as always...and Daniel is 29 months old. We're waaay past "posing" with Mickey these days; we just make sure to play with Mickey and snap a few pics...so I got this cute one today!

Daniel is increasingly independent, or at least trying to be, and yet, he's still my little boy wanting to hold hands down the stairs, sit in my lap (what's left of it!), and he gives the best kisses and hugs!

He counts to 10 all the time now, and it's really funny to listen to because he counts to 4 slowly and then it's like all one word really fast from 5-10. I love it! And past 10...well, next comes 90 and 100 of course!

Daniel is really enjoying painting and coloring these days, too. He also really enjoys dumping his toys (blocks, play food, etc.) all over the place, too- we're going on about two weeks of this and it took me a few days to make peace with it- it's a phase I hope, I'm rolling with it, and he's having fun, even if it does leave my house a constant mess. But that's life with a two year old and he's definitely a two year old! A delightful one!

Remember Daniel's obsession with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? Well, we've now moved on to Cars, as in Disney's Cars movie! Daniel absolutely LOVES Cars. Everything is about Cars these days. We're having fun! Daniel knows all the names of the cars in the movie, he loves his Cars painting book, his Cars tool book, his Cars tent, his stuffed Lightning McQueen (all these things were gifts from before this new obsession- it's worked out nicely!!!, and once again, his vocabulary is expanding like you wouldn't believe...it's amazing what new things can do for toddlers! Anyway, the short story is we're all about Cars these days.

"Mommy not s'posed to (fill in blank), mommy s'posed to (FILL IN BLANK- this part is "higher-pitched"- you kinda have to be there!)"- he says this when we're playing, so it's all in fun.

"wrong place"- Daniel's quite observant and will point out anything that's in the wrong place, which I think is cute. He's always been very good about putting things back where they belong and cleaning up! Let's hope our little girl is just as good about this, too!
